Lucy Darling's 'Simply Darling Tour 'Coming To Carlton, MN

Another day, another fun event announcement! It has been the busiest year in recent memory when it comes to fun shows and concerts happening in the Northland and beyond. I am not complaining!

For example, earlier this week, the DECC announced that Chevy Chase would be coming to Duluth in November for a special screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

Black Bear Casino Resort has also been pumping out the event announcements as well this year, bringing a bunch of great musical acts and unique shows to the area.

They just announced a new one on Monday (July 27th), which is always the best way to start the week. I know so many people that are excited about this one!

Comedian & Magician Lucy Darling Coming To Carlton

The entertainer will be bringing her show to the venue on Friday, October 2nd. Her comedy show is huge online and it will be exciting to see her live on tour in our neck of the woods! Her real name is Carisa Hendrix.

This is part of her Simply Darling Tour. Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. I think we can all agree that we could use a laugh, right? She will also be joined by her partner-in-crime TJ Shanoff, who is another fun part of the show.

Tickets start at just $30 bucks and go up to about $130 bucks. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 31st at noon. You can buy them online or in person at the venue! There is also a special artist presale so you can snag tickets ahead of time.

You will need to get that code through the artist. There are also some fun add-ons you can purchase, including a meet and greet with the star and a fun pre-show event where she shares fun stories. You'll have a chance to ask questions, too!

Items People Are Prohibited From Bringing Into The 2026 Minnesota State Fair

The 2026 Minnesota State Fair is nearly here, with the "Great Minnesota Get-Together" running Thursday, Aug. 27, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. If recent years are any indication, the fairgrounds are about to get very busy.

Last year's fair drew 1,940,869 people across its 12-day run — the fifth-highest attendance in the event's history — and it was once again voted the best state fair in America by USA Today readers.

Before you go, the list below is items that will not be allowed into any part of the fairgrounds, as well as additional items that, while they may be allowed into the fairgrounds, are forbidden in the Grandstand for the concerts and events.
