Annual Fishing Auction Raises Big Bucks For St. Jude Kids

Absolutely incredible! A Northlander just pulled off an incredible feat: he raised an insane amount of money for the kids at St. Jude this year. We couldn't be more proud of Justin Gower.

The Alborn, Minnesota native has a big passion for St. Jude. Over the past few years, he has donated HUGE to our St. Jude Radiothon, each year raising more money than the year prior with his online auction.

He holds the online auction every year around Radiothon time, and is also the owner of JG's Custom Lures. He partners with local businesses, who offer donations for the auction, in turn raising money for the cause.

Now, this year's online auction has come and gone and Justin has shared the final total. Be prepared to get teary-eyed because this is incredible!

Justin Gower Raises $20K For The Kids At St. Jude With Annual Fundraiser

The auction took place from February 12th through the 15th. As I said, he had some truly great, one-of-a-kind prizes donated by local businesses. Now, the numbers have been tallied and we have the total he raised in 2026.

Are you ready for it? Justin Gower raised $20,011 dollars with his annual fundraiser: Fishing to Fight Childhood Cancer. The community really stepped up to support Justin and the cause yet again and this is just a truly ground-breaking number.

As if this wasn't incredible enough, this now brings Justin's total over the years to a whopping $83,145 dollars. He has been doing this for six years and the event just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Justin started this venture in 2021, raising about $2K for the cause. That total doubled in 2022 and then truly took off, raising $15K in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, he raised around $20K. This is truly an unbelievable effort. Thank you Justin for all you do!
