With daylight saving happening last weekend, the holiday season will be here in the blink of an eye. The Christmas City of the North Parade takes place on Friday, November 17, and Bentleyville will be open for the 2023 season on the next night.

With those Northland traditions coming, it was the perfect time for the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center to announce the return of another event that has become a favorite in the area.

The DECC confirmed through their Facebook page that the Duluth Winter Village will return for two days in 2023, providing an incredibly festive atmosphere along the lake at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center's Harbor Drive.

Organizers paint a picture of what you can expect to experience:

The festive greens, your favorite shops, hot drinks, and fire pits. Stroll through the same outdoor Winter Village you love, with Lake Superior and the Lift Bridge as your backdrop. The DECC (Duluth Entertainment Convention Center) is steps away from Canal Park and Bentleyville, with plenty of parking and additional festivities, dining and shopping nearby.

The 2023 Duluth Winter Village, which is free to attend, will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3.

It's a great opportunity to celebrate the holiday season in the city and support local businesses during the holidays during what is a very important time of the year for them.

Attendees can expect to enjoy local shops, featuring vendors that are all local businesses with retail locations around Northern Minnesota. There will also be hot cocoa, cider and coffee, local drinks, and delicious menus from New Scenic Cafe, DECC Catering, Yes Cheese, Love Creamery, and more. Baked goods from TBSP Waffles and Duluth's Best Bread will also be available. The complete Duluth Winter Village menu is expected to be released soon.

Beer lovers will want to check out the craft beer selection located near the Yule Hall, and there will also be themed cocktails at the bar made with Vikre spirits and other local favorites.

The kids will love seeing the live animals and everyone can warm up at fire pits. Indoor open skating will also be available each day. The Duluth East Choralaires will be caroling throughout the event, which will certainly add to the festive spirit of things.

Organizers add that as much as they love dogs, the Duluth Winter Village is such a busy event, which can get crowded in certain areas with lots of kids and guests, so they recommend leaving dogs at home unless they're service animals.
