More changes are coming to a Costco near you! There have been many big changes at the superstore over the past few years in an effort to make the shopping experience better and more seamless for customers.

For example, they recently changed the way they operate the self-checkout lanes, with employees scanning cart items for certain people in line so all they have to do when they roll up to the register is pay.

This happened to me when I was at Costco in the Duluth area the other day and it really was nice not having to panic-scan all my items myself while there was a long line.

This latest change? It has to do with something people are VERY passionate about: the hot dogs from the food court.

People take the hot dog meal very seriously and honestly, all of the food in the food court area of Costco looks amazing. It is always too busy and I am too impatient to stand in line but it is on my list one of these days!

Anyway, the meal is always delicious, simple and cheap. Despite the rising cost of just about everything these days, the meal has remained at a buck fifty since its inception. The best part? The famous hot dog meal also comes with a drink.

A meal and a drink? That's unheard of for just a buck fifty! Now, they have finally made a change to the meal deal after all these years but do not panic. If you aren't a soda drinker, you can now swap out your soda option for a bottled water so you have something to wash down your hot dog with.

You do need a Costco membership of course. Honestly, the membership is worth it just for eating at the food court alone - it costs the same as a dinner or two out! Costco is definitely my happy place.
