Update: Burger Paradox is now open! They are open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Warning: reading this post will make you hungry. Duluth is about to become home to another burger restaurant and it looks like it will be opening sooner rather than later! Burger Paradox will be opening next month and my mouth is already watering.

According to WDIO, the new burger joint will open on Sunday, May 21st. News of the new spot was announced in February. It will go in the former Coach's Bar and Grill location along Superior Street. It is one of many recent additions to Lincoln Park over the years.

I can't wait to try out this new restaurant and it seems like it will bring something new to the area! Burger Paradox will serve burgers, which you probably figured out by the name, but that is not all. It will also serve fries, brussels sprouts, onion rings, cheese sticks and other classic sides. Past and present menu items from Duluth Grill and OMC Smokehouse may also make an appearance.

You can check out Burger Paradox in person at 2113 West Superior Street when opening day finally rolls around. If you aren't entirely familiar with that exact location, it is near the Salvation Army store in Lincoln Park. You may also know the new location as the place where Mitch's Bar & Grill used to be.

Owners of the spot shared more details Monday (April 10th), writing that the focus will be on burgers and appetizers, like the ones mentioned. They also stated that the "vibe is great cocktails and bar food, along with late night grub" for the new restaurant. They cited the "elevated food and cocktail experience" again later in the post.

The owners also said that they are honoring the history of the spot, which was a burger restaurant originally before becoming home to a string of dive bars. Owners hope to maintain the dive bar vibe of the spot while giving it a bit of a face lift and focusing on an "elevated food and cocktail" experience at Burger Paradox.

Burger Paradox is in pretty good company. The same person who is opening the new restaurant also owns the Duluth Grill, OMC Smokehouse and the Goat Hill Marketplace, which opened in the Enger Lofts building last March. The Goat Hill Marketplace puts a big spotlight on local products with featured items from these restaurants. I don't know about you but I am hungry!
