Typically these food experts don't get too far out of the major metropolitan areas, which I kind of have a beef with. There are so many great spots in all corners of Minnesota, but usually, the experts don't ever leave the Minneapolis-St. - St. Paul area. I guess if you have to find the best spot in each state you can't afford to drive all around it.

Hell's Kitchen located in MInneapolis was named the best spot for breakfast and brunch in Minnesota. Lovefood mentions their famous sausage bread made with toasted walnuts, blackcurrants, black coffee, and sausage.
