B105 Raises 85K For St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

It was another incredible year for our annual Radiothon benefitting the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! We always hold a two-day Radiothon for the cause, which has become so important to me and the rest of the team at B105.

Each year, we have special guests on the show and turn it into one big party! While the days can get heavy given the subject matter, it is all worth it in the end. This year, our B105 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon raised $84,738 dollars.

Brandon Weatherz and Nyah Adams from WDIO joined us to talk about St. Jude and its mission. It's always fun to see them in person! Rafe Carlson also joined the Radiothon early on, performing a few tunes and helping to spread the word.

We also had some incredible partners and sponsors who helped make this possible, whether sponsoring a much needed 'giggle break' or bringing treats for us to eat during the Radiothon.

We also had Tara Olson and family in the studio to announce what they raised for St. Jude this year! Tara, along with her father Harold, and their incredible community in northern Minnesota put on so many incredible events for the cause throughout the year. This year, their events raised nearly $50K for St. Jude.

Justin Gower of JG's Custom Lures also stopped in to close out the Radiothon. He holds an annual fundraiser for St. Jude each year as well, and is hoping to raise $20K this year with his online Facebook auction.

While these two days can be difficult, hearing the sad stories of the kids and families of St. Jude, it is always worth it when we hear the total at the end. Thank you to everyone who was part of this event! I can't wait until next year.
