9 of the Biggest & Best Christmas Light Displays Around Minnesota
If you’re feeling the annual urge to pile in the car, crank the heat, and go stare at millions of glowing bulbs, you're in the right place.

Minnesota doesn’t hold back when it comes to holiday lights. Every year, cities and local groups across the state put together large-scale displays that draw families from miles around. Many of them also support local charities, rely on community volunteers, and have grown into annual traditions for both Minnesotans and visitors from out of state.

Bundling up and wandering through glowing tunnels and over the top holiday scenes with your friends and family, it's impossible not to be filled with Christmas spirit, especially with a nice blanket of snow on the ground. What’s really fun is watching all the kids in awe, which makes me feel like a kid again.
Each display does things a little differently. Some are massive walk-through festivals packed with sculptures, music, and themed areas you could spend hours exploring. Others are slow-rolling drive-thru routes you can view while staying warm in your car.
