How Can You Tell When Summer Is Over? Duluth’s Aerial Lift Bridge Starts End Of Season Schedule

Just like the falling leaves, this is one of those signs that summer is coming to a close in the Twin Ports:  The Aerial Lift Bridge has begun it's "as-needed" schedule - which will carry it through until the end of the shipping season.

Unlike the summer months when the bridge is lifted on the half hour (or on the hour, depending on what time of day), boaters will now have to request that the span gets lifted for them.

According to the City of Duluth, operators of the Aerial Lift Bridge follow a summer schedule which begins the Friday before Memorial Day and ends the day after Labor Day.
