Duluth and St. Louis County will host the House Homeland Security Committee Chair on Wednesday, May 30 as Representative Michael McCaul comes to town.  The Texas Republican is coming to Duluth via invitation by St. Louis County Commissioner Pete Stauber.

While in town, McCaul will meet with local, state, and federal public safety and emergency management representatives from our region at a round table discussion.  The closed session is scheduled to take place at the Public Safety Building - 2030 Arlington Avenue in Duluth.

According to information released by St. Louis County, this will be McCaul's first visit to a Great Lakes Port since assuming the chairmanship of the House Committee on Homeland Security.

Along with St. Louis County Commissioners, representatives from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department, Seaway Port Authority, Coast Guard, and the U.S. Border Patrol will be on hand at the round table discussion.  A variety of subjects are on the agenda, relating to the Northland's geographical port location.
