Hollywood Film Shooting In Small Minnesota Town

This. Is. Awesome. A Hollywood film is shooting in Excelsior, Minnesota.

The film is called 'Lapham Rising' and features huge stars like Ashley Benson and Bobby Cannavale, among many others.

According to IMDb, the movie follows a man named Harry March, a "retired writer whose life starts to unravel when a multimillionaire begins building a mansion" across from his home in the Hamptons. The synopsis says March takes this new home as a symbol for what "has ruined civilization" and goes into a tailspin over it.

Excelsior is being passed off as the Hamptons in this case. It's a town located on Lake Minnetonka, located close to downtown Minneapolis.

Filming began on May 15th of this year, according to IMDb.

Wow! That is really cool. If a movie was being filmed in Duluth, I would definitely go creeping every single day to see what was happening.

Minnesota is a great place to film a movie in my opinion. It's a bonus that so many Hollywood stars were born here! Something must be in the water.
