There's no disputing the fact that Canal Park is a crowing jewel in the Twin Ports arsenal of attractions.  Whether it's for the shopping, the restaurants, the night life, or the stunning views of Lake Superior, the area is a "must-see" for anyone visiting town.  Anyone familiar with the history of Duluth also knows that the Canal Park area used to be an industrial site with garbage and scrap metal just a short 30 years ago.  It took people with a vision to dramatically change the area for the better and for the future of the city.

It's along those lines that the Greater Downtown Council, in conjunction with the City of Duluth Planning Department, is looking for the vision that will propel Canal Park into the future.  A series of workshops have been planned under the umbrella of Imagine Canal Park.  Participants will be able to help develop a vision for the popular neighborhood in regards to its access, design, programming, and public spaces.

There are three different workshops that you can attend:

Wednesday, September 13:  11:30AM at Zeitgeist Atrium.  This session does not require an RSVP and the organizers promise that you'll be done by 1:00 PM.

Wednesday, September 13:  5:00 PM at the Duluth Children's Museum.  This session also does not require an RSVP and the organizers promise that you'll be done by 6:30 PM.

Thursday, September 14:  9:00 AM at the Canal Park Lodge.  This session does require an RSVP with an email sent to info@canallparkduluth.com .
