Every now and then you'll hear a song about the state you live in, some good and some bad. One Minnesotan just wrote a beautiful song about the state, have you heard it yet?

Over the years, there have been plenty of songs about the Land of 10,000 Lakes. From Wierd Al's 'The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota' to Lil Yachty's classic 'Minnesota' and so much more. Minnesota rap duo Atmosphere has mentioned the state in many of their songs and Dan Adler had song tilted 'The Minnesota Song (The Great Escape)' back in 2010.

This time, Minnesota native Michael Shynes wrote a little love song for his forever home state of Minnesota. He even recorded himself performing the song in his yard.

Shynes is a self-taught singer/songwriter from the North Star State. He has a unique range of vocal stylings that pair well with his captivating lyrics and acoustic finger-picking style.

Before we get to the 'Minnesota Song', here's a song he wrote after hearing a story from Andre Rodriguez (who leads his band), when Rodriguez chased after someone who committed a hit and run in Minneapolis:

According to his bio on his website, he recently sold out his first theater shows, and built a fully immersive live performance concept that includes a nine-piece band paired with a video and light show.

In January he will be performing with Wisconsin native Chris Kroeze at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Saint Cloud. You can check out his love letter song to Minnesota below:
