Recycling that pop or water bottle will be a whole lot easier the next time you're enjoying one of Duluth's parks.  The city was recently awarded grant money to provide for 60 new recycling bins to be placed in the park system.  300 cities applied for the money and Duluth was one of 41 communities to receive the grant money.

The grant comes from the Keep America Beautiful Program - the Dr. Pepper Snapple Park Bin Grant Program.

The 60 new bins will join the 22 that are currently available to park users.

Here is a list of where the new bins will be installed:

  • Wheeler Fields
  • Park Point
  • Brighton Beach
  • 12th Street Beach
  • Fairmont Park
  • Memorial Park
  • Portland Square
  • Lakewalk Trail
  • Special Event Roving Bins
