Grandma's Marathon announced they will now offer registration for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon on a first come first served basis. Due to runner input over the years the marathon decided to change the way people get into the race. This means that if you want to run the half marathon, you need to register right away.

This will start with the 2018 registration and the first 7,500 participants beginning October 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. CDT. In previous years, registration for the 13.1-mile race has been conducted via a lottery in which participants were randomly selected  The 28th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 6:15 a.m., and is run on the second half of the Grandma’s Marathon course.
