This has to be one of the most creative - and awesome - things we've seen yet! The Glensheen has announced something new: self-guided virtual tours!

The Glensheen is offering up this new service while the doors to the venue remain closed to visitors. They announced the new tours on Wednesday (November 25th).

According to their website, there will be three different virtual tours to choose from and each one will have a different host. The three different tours to choose from include a virtual Christmas tour, an in-depth collections tour and an exclusive virtual tour.

Descriptions for the latter two will be available in the coming days. As for the Christmas tour, it will feature the venue's popular Christmas trees, hidden elves and gorgeous Christmas decor. You will also be able to hear stories as you tour of Christmas past at the Glensheen, along with stories about the most famous rooms.

Details on when the self-guided virtual tours kick off, along with ticket prices and such, will be available soon. We will keep you updated when more details are released.

In the meantime, there are other ways you can help Glensheen. You can become a member of the Glensheen or donate monetarily. You can also spread the word about the venue on social media.

Last week, the Glensheen had to temporarily close their doors for at least four weeks under the Governor's new COVID-19 restrictions, which has shuttered restaurants to in-person dining, bars and other entertainment venues, among other restrictions. This is due to a spike in COVID cases statewide. The new orders last through mid-December.
