The event is a statewide crowd-funding effort for local organizations that takes place entirely online. For 24 hours starting at 12:01 a.m., on the 15th, donors can click here and donate to any nonprofit or school in Minnesota. You can search for your school or local places like Courage Kenny, or the Lake Superior Zoo.
Give to the Max is celebrating 10 years of Giving this month, as tens of thousands of generous people will look to build on the $150 million raised in the first nine years of Minnesota's giving holiday.
Created as a launch party for GiveMN.org in 2009, Give to the Max Day has turned into Minnesota’s giving holiday. It is a special 24-hour period to highlight the work and worth of nonprofits and schools all across Minnesota, and a day for generous Minnesotans to give back what they can to the causes and organizations that mean the most to them.
And as a bonus, GiveMN offers thousands of dollars in prizes to provide a little excitement, start some friendly competition, and help donors make their dollars go farther.
Just search for the causes you care about, make your gift, and they will be immediately counted toward Give to the Max totals and eligible prizes!
