The Beatles played Minnesota once and never came back as a group. Only Paul McCartney ever came back until now.

According to the Mystic Lake Website, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr band will play the Mystic Showroom on October 2, at 8 pm. Along with Ringo Starr, the current All Starr Band consists of Steve Lukather (Toto), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth), and Edgar Winter.

All of the Beatles have carved out very respectable solo careers and that shows how much talent was in that one band. Ringo Starr, the former Beatles drummer shares stories from his long career and sings the songs that made him famous and put him in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.

Mystic Lake is saying to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before showtime; there will be a line for security screening. Guest safety is the priority, and guests are screened using walk-through metal detectors. Check the website for the latest health concerns and screenings.

I interviewed Steve Lukather, the guitarist in the All-Starr Band. He said two things went through his mind when he was asked to play and tour for the band. One thing was he is the guitarist for a former Beatle, the whole reason he decided to be a musician. The other was, of all the guitarists, Ringo asked him. So he takes it very seriously to play for Ringo Starr.

With many musicians in the band that have their own careers, it should be a fun night.
