Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham Sells Home for $19 Million
UPDATE 4/18: The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the house has been sold for $19 million, $3.5 million below Buckingham's original asking price.
Fleetwood Mac star Lindsey Buckingham has just listed his recently rebuilt house in Brentwood, Calif., for $22.5 million. You can see dozens of photos of the 11,000 square-foot home below.
According to listing agent David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Buckingham's Modern Georgian estate sits on a private 35,000-plus square-foot tree-filled lot, and was "painstakingly designed and built over a more than four-year period with no expense spared, unparalleled attention to detail, extraordinary craftsmanship and the finest of everything."
The home features six bedrooms -- including a "fabulous master with sitting area, fireplace, private terrace, exquisite separate baths and generous closets" -- as well as 10 bathrooms, a pool, two kitchens and a screening room complete with a marble-topped bar.
"Other features include hardwood floors which are unique to each room, beautiful light fixtures and hardware throughout, furniture grade built-ins, outdoor fireplace, fire pit, fountain, outdoor shower, bbq, spacious three-car garage and much more. This magical home represents an extremely rare offering," concludes the listing, "and will envelop you in taste, quality and luxury from the moment you enter."
Last June, Buckingham and his Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie released their first album together. The self-titled effort was well-received by fans and critics alike and spawned a successful tour.
On Jan. 26, Fleetwood Mac will be honored as the 2018 Musicares Person of the Year (yes, even though they are a band and not a person) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Lorde, Keith Urban, HAIM, Harry Styles, One Republic and other artists will perform in their honor.
