Easter Holiday Brings Changes To Superior’s Garbage Schedule

As is common place with most holidays, the City of Superior is announcing upcoming changes to their garbage service pickup so that employees and staff can celebrate with their families.  This year, the Easter holiday affects Superior's garbage service the week ahead of Easter - the week of March 26.

The Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, March 30 in observance of Easter.  Included in the closure is the Municipal Landfill.  In order to accommodate the closure, the garbage pickup schedule for the week of March 26 will be accelerated.  If your normal pickup date is Monday, your schedule will not be affected.  However - for the rest of the week (Tuesday through Friday), homeowners should have their garbage cart out to the usual spot by 7:00 AM one day earlier than usual.

City officials note that there will not be a change to the recycling schedule as pickup is handled by a contract vendor and not city employees.
