Duluth Woman Started Luxury Pop-Up Picnic Business
Jamie Anderson had seen a trend of luxury pop-up picnics pick up speed and popularity on the west coast and decided that this would be a great business venture for the Twin Ports. These can be for date nights, a wedding proposal, or a fun night out with the family.
The company is called Events By Jam which she started in April of this year. With so many beautiful places in the Twin Ports to dine outside in an intimate setting this is a great way to celebrate a special occasion.
Kelly Evertz, of Duluth used the service for an anniversary date with her boyfriend and said to The Duluth News Tribune:
Every detail was executed perfectly — from the gorgeous table setup to comfortable pillows for seating and blankets to cozy up with when it got chilly. My favorite part was the uniqueness of this experience combined with the privacy of enjoying a meal together without loud restaurants or crowds of people.
Depending on what the client prefers she will set up the picnic before hand and clean up afterwards. Right now her most popular features at her picnics are charcuterie boards where picnickers can bring the ingredients or she can supply them. She does not usually provide the meals for the picnics but if that is what the client would prefer she has relationships with a variety of restaurants in the Twin Ports and catering companies.
Clients can choose where ever they want the picnic to take place and she will do the rest. The most popular places that are requested are Park Point and Black Beach in Silver Bay. With the pandemic ramping back up this would be a great solution to enjoy a nice night or day out without the worry of lots of people around.
