Duluth Pack Celebrates 135 Years
A research project determined that the average life expectancy for a business is 10 years. Just don't tell that to the operators of Duluth Pack. This month the business is celebrating the 135th anniversary of the date that they sent in the application for the patent that locked in the design of Duluth Pack #3; the approval came on December 12, 1882 and the store has been in business ever since.
The anniversary is not only significant for it's length of tenure in the Twin Ports, but also the country; Duluth Pack is recognized as the oldest canvas and leather bag and pack maker in the United States. Part of the long-term success of the company hails from the quality of its products. Each item manufactured by Duluth Pack comes with a lifetime warranty on the craftsmanship and hardware. The business also takes great pride in using American-made and sourced products as much as possible.
Duluth Pack operates a manufacturing site at 1610 Superior Street and a retail store in Canal Park at 365 Canal Park Drive. You can also find them online at DuluthPack.com.
