2022 Duluth Junk Hunt Coming To The DECC In April
Duluth Junk Hunt is coming back. The much-anticipated event will be here by the end of the month.
The spring 2021 Duluth Junk Hunt will take place from Thursday, April 28 through the 30th at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. When I looked at their website they also announced they will hold a Duluth Junk hunt in November.
This year is the 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the spring Duluth Junk Hunt, according to their Facebook page there will be 100+ booths of vintage and repurposed items. For tickets & more information, please visit duluthjunkhunt.com.
Every Spring and Fall the Duluth Junk Hunt likes to highlight a different charity and the Spring highlight is the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank More information about their choice. Each year they distribute over 7 million pounds of food, or enough food for 5.6 million meals, which feed approximately 44,000 Northlanders in need.
Here are the times the Duluth Junk Hunt will be open:
- Thursday, April 28th, 4-7 pm (Early Birds!)
- Friday, April 29th, 9 am-4 pm (General Admission)
- Saturday, April 30th, 9 am-4 pm (General Admission)
Here are some costs and ways to save money.
If you call and make reservations at Park Point Marina Inn or Pier B Resort, tell them you are going to the "Duluth Junk Hunt" when booking and you will save 10% at Park Point Marina Inn, and Pier B will take off 25%. If you are booking online, Use "JUNK10" for 10% off your stay at Park Point Marina Inn and "Room To Roam" for 25% off at Pier B Resort.
The cost for an Early Bird Ticket is $15 online on Thursday the 28th. It includes a complimentary shopping tote, first crack at all of the good junk, and free re-entry all weekend long. General Admission is $5 online on Friday and Saturday. That includes free re-entry all day Friday, as well as Saturday. All tickets at the venue must be paid in cash and there will be an ATM on site.
The price to park is $10 per car per day and you can re-enter the day you buy the ticket but you might lose your spot or it may fill up and then you will have to park elsewhere.
Kids under 12 years old are free! However please remember that during peak times, strollers can be a little bit difficult to maneuver due to the high shopper volume! The Duluth Junk Hunt recommends coming Friday or Saturday afternoon if you plan on bringing small children
The event will be at the DECC Arena and Paulucci Hall The DECC will have its concession stand open for business. There will also be a Farmer’s Market section featuring local foods & flowers.
