Our local firefighters work every day to protect us and keep us safe.  That's why it's no surprise that Duluth Firefighters have made their Fill The Boot drive to benefit Muscular Dystrophy and the families affected by it such a success.  Their next event is coming up.

The Local 101 and Duluth Firefighters invite you to look for them July 29 - 31 at a variety of locations throughout town as they "Fill The Boot" for MDA.  Your generous contributions directly benefit local families and help to make their lives a little easier.  According to information provided by the Duluth Fire Department, they receive an average of almost $40,000 a year during these Fill The Boot drives in the summer and also during the Christmas City of the North Parade.  Over 70% of the contributions go back into research, medicines, equipment, and family support.  In addition - once a year the kids can attend Camp Courage - a camp that is completely wheelchair accessible!
