Duluth Area 4th of July 20210 Fireworks Weather Forecast

Independence Day 2021 is coming up fast, and lots of people around the Northland are looking forward to a return to more normal 4th of July festivities after last year, when many events were cancelled.

With rain chances scattered across the early parts of the week, will chances of rain continue or will things dry out for the various parades, carnivals, activities, and fireworks shows across the Northland?

The good news is that (while things can obviously change between now and this weekend), there is some promise for enjoying outdoor activities for the big holiday weekend!

Friday, July 2

We'll start off around 53 degrees on Friday morning with generally clear sky conditions. The clouds look like they will stay away on Friday, and we'll warm up to around 82 degrees. No real chances of rain through the day, and then things cool off to around 67 degrees Friday night while the sky remains clear.

Saturday, July 3

Maintaining the trend from Friday, we shouldn't see much in the way of clouds or rain chances through the day on Saturday. We'll start the day around 65 and warm up to around 90 in the afternoon. The clear sky conditions stick around and things cool only slightly down to around 70 after sunset, making for a warm night for Saturday night's fireworks shows.

Sunday, July 4

The end of the weekend looks like it will bring a few more clouds through the day, though it will still be mostly sunny. Daytime high temperatures will reach to around 90 and with that heat comes a 40% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Into the evening, temperatures will cool a little down to around 75 by fireworks time and 72 by midnight with some clouds and that ongoing chance of a shower or thunderstorm increases after midnight through the early morning hours of Monday morning.

All told, it looks like a pretty solid (albeit HOT) holiday weekend!
