An injured Duluth Air Force veteran has received compensation from the Veterans Administration after getting help from the St. Louis County Veterans Service Office.  The veteran who asked not to be identified recently received payment due to a back injury that caused permanent mobility issues.  The check totals $102,000.

Initially the claim was denied by the Veterans Administration due to missing paperwork.  However, through the efforts of St. Louis County Veterans Service Office Scott Pauly, the veteran was able to complete the necessary paperwork and resubmit.

According to the Veterans Service Office, there are more than 19,000 veterans in St. Louis County.
