The DTA made the announcement that the rear door only boarding policy will be effective until further notice.

Obviously those with mobility impairment or wheelchairs and things of that nature will still be able to get on the bus using the ramp at the front of the busses.

The announcement was made via their website, Facebook page, and press release. The Facebook page went on to say that it is an effort to protect their Operators and the public and prevent the spread of infection.

In a press release, General Manager Phil Pumphrey said the DTA is making significant changes to many things in order to comply with government mandates and trying to limit drivers, workers, and riders to exposure to Covid-19. He went on to say that the DTA is trying to ensure safety while providing transportation for the community.
