DTA Announces New Service Changes Effective April 5th
The Duluth Transit Authority has announced new changes that will take place beginning Sunday, April 5th. It's all part of their effort to provide essential transportation while facing the challenges of COVID-19.
The weekday service will be moving to the same "limited" service schedule that is currently offered on Saturdays. This still means routes 4&5 will be cancelled. The route 15 will remain in a "dial a ride format" where you can request a pickup from a smaller van to bring you to the DTC. The Sunday schedule will remain the same.
The last trips from downtown on Monday-Saturday are just after 9pm. Sundays the last trips leaving from downtown are just after 7pm.
In addition to these changes, the DTA will also be offering a shuttle service that runs from 10:10am to 6:10pm each day (including Sunday) from Miller Hill Mall Super One to Menards and Walmart at :10 and :30 past each hour. This service is to connect the areas affected by the service changes.
Also as a reminder there is free fare for the bus routes as previously announced. They are also asking passengers to board using the rear doors to help protect the drivers. The Duluth Transit Authority thanks the public for their patience during the pandemic.
