The 115th annual Douglas County Fish & Game League Sports Show has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The yearly event takes place at the end of March at Wessman Arena in Superior, but organizers decided to cancel the event due to the coronavirus pandemic. The President's guidelines for slowing the outbreak call for citizens to avoid groups of 10 or more people.  Hundreds of people attend the Fish & Game Sports Show yearly, so the decision to cancel is in line with what authorities recommend.

In an effort to "flatten the curve" and slow the rises cases of the pandemic, many events locally have been cancelled. We are keeping a constantly updated list of local closures and cancellations on our site.

For us to have a fighting chance against this pandemic, you are asked to practice social distancing. Avoid crowds of more than 10 people. If you are sick, stay home. Wash your hands for more than 20 seconds with soap and water. The CDC website has
