Do You Know What This Is On My Tree

After the gas can mower escapade I was  sitting on my deck with a couple Buds gazing over my palatial estate when I noticed this white thing on one of our trees. I didn't know what it was, so I called in Mrs. Rayman and asked her. She wasn't sure either, so I thought maybe one of you would know

We checked all the other trees on our property and they're fine. Is it something to be concerned about, was I having one of my "flashbacks" from the good days of rock n roll, or did I just have too many Buds? If you know, please tell me in the comment section.
