It's been a month or so, but work to clean up the debris left after the July 21 storm continue.  One of the services that the City of Duluth has offered to those affected has been pickup of debris;  a deadline is approaching that homeowners might want to know about.

Saturday, August 27 is the final day for storm-related tree debris to be left on front lawns or boulevards for city workers to pick up.  Any debris left on lawns and boulevards after Saturday will not be picked up by the city and will need to be disposed of by the homeowner.  Officials hope to have the remaining debris picked up by the end of the day on August 28.

Residents that need to haul away their own debris can still bring it to the drop-off sites on Rice Lake Road - across the street from Boulder Ridge Apartments - until that site closes on September 3.
