Dalvin Cook Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

After another amazing performance, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Cook, in his fourth year in the NFL, has just become the first NFC player to earn the award in back-to-back weeks since Ryan Fitzpatrick did it in 2018. In Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, Cook rushed for a career-high 206 yards and scored two touchdowns, including a 70-yard touchdown run.

With his performance, Cook joins Adrian Peterson and Chuck Foreman as the only Vikings players to rush for 200+ yards in a game. He’s also the 6th player in NFL history and the first since HOFer Emmitt Smith in 1994 with a rushing touchdown in each of his first 7 games of a season.

This is Cooks 4th time being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week in his career, Cook joins Vikings WR Randy Moss, QB Randall Cunningham, and K Mitch Berger as the only Vikings to get the honor in back-to-back weeks.

Since the Vikings hired coach Mike Zimmer, 18 different players have claimed a total of 26 NFC Player of the Week Honors from the NFL.
