Costco is Planning to Build a New Location in Duluth

Could the wait be over?

Whenever people are asked what new businesses they would like to see in Duluth, I always see and hear people mention Costco, I've never been to one myself, but I hear wonderful things, well Duluth could soon be home to their newest location.

CBS 3 is reporting that the City of Duluth is currently reviewing an application for development that was filed by Costco. The land currently being looked at is at the corner of W. Arrowhead Rd and Haines Rd. on the Duluth/Hermantown border.

The new location would consist of the main members-only discount warehouse store, tire center, liquor pod, and gas station.

When the city completes its staff review, the project will move onto a public hearing by the City Planning Commission, and then by the Duluth City Council.

Costco currently has 10 Minnesota locations and 11 in Wisconsin. We will keep an eye on this story.
