City Of Superior To Alter Garbage Pickup Schedule For Christmas And New Year Holidays

With the approaching holidays at the end of the month, the City of Superior is alerting residents to changes in their garbage pickup schedule - to occur the weeks of December 18 and December 25.

The Public Works Department will be closed on Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26;  this closure also affects the Municipal Landfill.

The Week of December 18:  Garbage pickup will be accelerated.  There will be no change to the usual Monday pickups.  Residents with pickup on all other days are asked to have their garbage receptacle out the usual spot by 7:00 AM one day earlier than usual.

The Week of December 25:  Garbage pickup will be delayed.  Residents with Monday pickup are asked to have their receptacle out to the usual spot by 7:00 AM on Tuesday.  All other residents should place their receptacle out by 7:00 AM on their usual day, but be aware that pickup might be delayed as the crews catch up.

In addition - unlike usual holidays in Superior, the recycling schedule is anticipated to change for the last few weeks of the year.  Because the city is not responsible for this service, they ask that you direct all recycling questions to Hartels/DBJ at 218-729-5446.
