As the majority of government meetings head to virtual online options during the COVID-19 Pandemic response, officials have had to create platforms where they hadn't existed before. The aim with the online meetings has been to eliminate settings where large number of people meet, but to maintain the ability for the general public to watch the proceedings and to add their input.

A new move from the City of Duluth helps make balance more of a reality.  Residents will now be able to monitor public meetings and offer verbal comments by joining the meeting virtually via a new portal:  duluth.mn/live-meeting.  This new option will be available for both all meetings of the Duluth City Council and the City Boards and Commissions.

And here's an opportunity for you to try the new site out:  the next meeting of the Duluth City Council will be held on Monday, April 27 at 7:00 PM.  For more information about this meeting or to see the full schedule of upcoming meetings, click here.
