Bagged Leaves are being accepted for a limited time only at the Rose Garden at Leif Erickson Park.

According to the website leaves should be clean and tied up in garbage bags and brought to the Rose Garden.

A designated section of the parking lot will be blocked off for the donations. Now that there is new matting being used to winterize the roses, there is a more limited need for bagged leaves.

As soon as enough bags have been collected, the City will close the drop off site. The clean and tied garbage bags must only contain raked leaves and should not contain other plant or yard waste material.Yard waste does not belong in the trash. You may also drop off your leaves, grass clippings and garden waste for free at WLSSD’s Yard Waste Compost site. Brush, dirt and sod can also be disposed for a fee at the site.

The Yard Waste Compost site is located on Courtland Street off Interstate 35 at 27th Avenue West.  For hours and fees, please visit WLSSD’s website or call 218-722-0761.
