Check Out The Great Deals In St. Louis County’s First Tax Forfeited Land Auction Of 2023
This could be your chance to get a great deal on a home, business, maybe even some lake property. St. Louis County is holding their first Tax Forfeited Land Auction of 2023; the online catalog - and the bidding - is open and available right now on the special landing page they've set up on their webpage.
Similar to how the county has held these land auctions in the past, this one will use their recent online/digital model, via Public Surplus.
More than 55 different properties are up for bid - with excellent bargains to be had. In addition to the residential homes, this particular land auction features numerous waterfront properties. Some of the highlights of those parcels with water access include a cabin on Elephant Lake in Camp 5 Township, and other lots on Bassett Lake, Gansey Lake, Elliot Lake, and the Sturgeon River.
Bidding is available to anyone - with just a few conditions put forth by county officials. In order to be eligible to bid, "a person cannot have any delinquent property taxes on property they already own in St. Louis County. People who have delinquent property taxes must first pay what they owe before purchasing at auction or over the counter from the Available List".
You'll find the complete list of available properties for bid, photos, maps, and other details about each one - including a suggested starting price - on St. Louis County's online auction catalog. You can find printed versions of the catalog at "numerous gas stations, grocery stores, and other businesses throughout the county".
Bidding on these 55 properties will end at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 9.
