CBD & THC Sparkling Water Hits The Market In Duluth At Bent Paddle Brewing

Bent Paddle Brewing Company has teamed up with regional hemp growers to bring CBD sparkling water to their taproom beginning today. The first run of non-alcoholic CBD sparkling water available is the Passion Fruit, Orange, Guava CBD+ beverage.

The CBD+ Full Spectrum Sparkling Water features approximately 22mg of CBD + 1.75mg THC per serving. It's being sold in 25-ounce growlers to start, which contain 2 servings of the drink. They are selling in the taproom to be enjoyed to-go or for opening on-site in the taproom. The crowlers are selling for $12, with a limit of three per customer.

Bent Paddle's Taproom Director Pepin Young says it's been exciting to offer this new product.

We are so excited to bring CBD+ Sparkling Water to the taproom now that the Minnesota Legislature recently legalized it for patrons over age 21. It is an excellent and tasty non- alcoholic option for folks looking for an alternative to beer in our taproom and in the broader market as well. I personally love CBD products and CBD sparking water and can’t wait for more folks to try out our locally made version! Good things are worth the wait and paddling into these new waters responsibly was our number 1 priority.”

The initial run of CBD+ does include THC. They plan to release a Broad Spectrum CBD beverage in the coming weeks that will have 25mg of CBD and no THC. They are calling it the "Truckers Blend," because it won't have any THC that people in certain industries would want to avoid.

The entire sourcing of hemp for the product is all local as well. The hemp comes from Finnegan's Farm in Two Harbors. It's then manufactured into a hemp emulsion that's then mixed into sparkling water by Superior Molecular out of the Twin Cities.

Bent Paddle also says to look for the sparkling water to come out in 12-ounce cans soon in the coming weeks. You'll be able to find it at local CBD shops as well as other select retailers.
