Two legendary names from 80's rock have teamed up to tour the United States this summer. Bryan Adams has teamed up with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their 'So Happy It Hurts Tour' - playing 26 cities across the county. Minnesota is included, with a stop at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on July 3.

The tour is in support of Bryan Adams latest album. That album - his fifteenth - is called "So Happy It Hurts" and was released last year, getting a nomination for Best Rock Performance at the upcoming Grammy Awards on February 5.

Adams, along with Joan Jett, will kick off the tour in Baltimore on June 6, wrapping up August 3 in Seattle. Details about the tour were first announced during his appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on January 31.

For more than 40 years, Bryan Adams has toured heavily, earning the reputation as being "one of the most exciting live musicians in the world". In addition to his own recordings, Adams is a prolific songwriter, achieving numerous Academy Award nominations, five Golden Globe nominations, a Grammy Award, and 20 Juno Awards. Those Juno Awards are especially special to the native Canadian.

Meanwhile, Joan Jett blazed the trail for female performers in the rock music world.  She formed the Blackhearts in 1979 and since then has collected eight platinum and gold albums, numerous awards, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Tickets for the Xcel Energy Center date - on Monday, July 3, 7:30 PM - go on sale starting Friday, February 3 at 12 Noon. There are a variety of presale options.  Ticketmaster is the main source for all ticket sales and they have all of the necessary information on their website.
