I've been in Twin Ports radio close to twenty years. I started in November of 1995 on talk radio WEBC AM 560. I joined the Kool 101.7 staff in 1998 and became the Afternoon Drive personality in 2001. In 2005 I was honored to receive a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by the MINNESOTA ROCK AND COUNTRY HALL OF FAME, now the MID AMERICA MUSIC HALL OF FAME. I was born in Cleveland ohio and raised in Duluth. Although I've traveled to all but two of the fifty states, and lived in ten of them, I'm proud to call the Northland my home. Thank you for sharing part of your afternoon with me on Kool 101.7 over the years.

Green Bay Packers Have the Best Fans in the NFL Says Forbes Magazine
Although I live in Wisconsin, I don't really have a "favorite team," although Mrs. Rayman might disagree with me. I'm a football fan, not a team fan. According to research by Nielsen Scarborough, only 16 percent of adults living in Green Bay, Wisconsin, are NOT fans of the team, that according to an ESPN article. That means everybody else in the metro area has either watched, attended a

This song is about finding a low-maintenance lover who knows when to go away and won't require a commitment. The song is tinged with loneliness, however, as Mellencamp seems to going crazy sitting at home all alone, watching TV to see what's happening out in the world...
Rockers You Hear on Kool 101.7 Who All Died at Age 27 [GALLERY]
A couple weeks ago, I was talking to Fito de la Parra of Canned Heat, and one of the things we discussed the number of musicians who died at age 27 (Alan Wilson of Canned Heat being one of them.) What’s Your Guess on Weather This Winter?
It looks like an early fall, at least around my home, and that led me to wonder about the approaching winter season. I spoke with a meterologist, and asked. The response was basically it's a fight between El Nino and El Nina. Whoever wins, determines the winter weather.

In the original version, the lyrics are about a guy picking up a young girl and taking her home, which was fairly typical Rock and Roll subject matter. When Jett covered this, however, it became a song about a girl who notices a guy next to a jukebox and brings him home to have sex.
