Armed Officers Searching East Hillside Neighborhood in Duluth

According to WDIO, armed officers are searching through the East Hillside neighborhood in Duluth.

Members of the Duluth Police Department were alerted after shots were reported at the 500 block of 11th St. in East Hillside. It is also reported that an ambulance left the area with lights and sirens on.

UPDATE (2/14/17 4:08 p.m.): CBS 3 Duluth is reporting that one person was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound.

UPDATE: (2/14/17 7:03 p.m.): The Duluth Police Department has issued a press release about the incident. Part of the press release states that, "Police arrived and determined the shooting occurred inside a residence. Police found a 22 year old male who was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have detained several individuals, are conducting interviews and have identified a possible motive."

UPDATE: (2/15/17 10:40 a.m.): The Duluth Police Department has released a press release stating that "This continues to be a very active investigation and we are following up on numerous leads. No one is in custody at this time. We will continue to update the media as information becomes available."
