It's great to see Aretha back in the groove, considering all she's been through lately.  You may think  seventy is a bit too old to do such things, and ordinarily I'd agree with you but for a few exceptions.

Aretha is one of those exceptions. Still capable of belting out a cool r&b tune with her powerful voice thrills me enough to dig deep in the pocketbook for this one.

At her 70th birthday party in New York on Saturday, Aretha Franklin announced she has plans to give fans a new album.

"I have re-signed with Clive Davis, so I'm recording with Clive again," Detroit's Queen of Soul said about reuniting with the famous music mogul.

Franklin and Davis, first collaborated in the 1980s. An official announcement about the deal is expected to come soon.
