Announcing A Shoe Drive From Grandma’s Marathon, Toyota

Grandma's Marathon and their presenting sponsor, Toyota, are coming together to collect shoes, with help from Goodwill.

This is a local effort starting June 7th and going until June 24th.  Shoes can be dropped of at Kari Toyota in Superior, WI, Kolar Toyota in Duluth, MN, Iron Trail Toyota in Virginia, MN, and Ashland Toyota in Ashland, WI, during business hours.

During Grandma’s Marathon weekend, the goal will be to fill the bed of a Toyota Tundra truck in the Toyota display area located in Pioneer Hall at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 21.

Then Goodwill Industries of Duluth will help collect the shoes for either resale in their retail stores or reuse. Just about every dollar spent at Goodwill goes back into supporting their mission of job creation for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment.
