The Award For The Best New Actor Goes To Ron Houk
The Northland has been the backdrop to plenty of movies throughout the years. This summer, the movie called No Blood Of Mine, which was filmed in Duluth and surrounding towns, will be released. It is a Neo-Noir murder mystery, and yours truly is a character in the movie.
Being cast in the movie was awesome, I had no idea what I was really getting into. The idea sounded great. and I got paid to be in a movie? I was all up for that. There were casting calls and script readings, then came the filming. Turns out that those can turn out to be long tedious days. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great experience and will gladly do it again, but it truly gave me a bigger respect for the film industry.
It was very cool to meet the different actors from our area right here. If you end up seeing the film, you’ll see people from the Improv Theater to Kevin Jacobson. I am even on IMDb now with an accredited movie. I’m going to have to fill out some more information on that thing.
