Congratulations to the Minnesota Ballet, to be around for 50 years says you are doing something right, and doing something the people want to see. To celebrate that many years of putting on productions showcasing the talent of the Minnesota Ballet, they are putting on a show of shows, to bring back the history, the people that were a part of it, and debut a Robert Gardener Original.

This is the 50th Anniversary Gala Performance Saturday October 24th. The Minnesota Ballet brings back such celebrated works as Don Quixote Pas de Deux, Swan LakePas de Deux, excerpts from Gilbert Reed’s 1977 The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Nancy Gibson’s 1988 Savannah, and Robert Gardner’s 2009 “Northern Lights.” The Minnesota Ballet also looks to the future with a new Robert Gardner work. Then, the perfect way to wrap up the evening with Allen Fields’ rousing Rough Cut Swing with the North Shore Big Band playing live.

Something to remember, Michigan Street, directly outside the front doors to the Depot has been closed as part of street repairs. The 6th Ave way down from Superior Street has been turned into a two way street. Access to the Depot parking lot is still available, but parking in front of the depot is no longer an option for dropping off people for the show.
