14-Year Old Duluth Girl Abducted Near Denfeld High School – Girl Found Safe Hours Later, No Abduction Suspected [UPDATED]
Duluth Police are looking for the public's help finding 14-year old Kaytlyn Rae Quintana who was pulled into a minivan against her will near Denfeld High School this afternoon.
**UPDATE** On Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at 7:30 PM the Duluth Police Department located Kaytlyn Rae Quintana safe and uninjured at a residence in the #20 block of East Fourth Street, Duluth, MN. At this time we believe no abduction or attempted abduction took place. The investigation continues into this incident. No further information is available at this time.
The incident happened around 2:40. Police say that the van was occupied by four black males and was last seen westbound on Grand Avenue. The van was described as an older silver minivan in good condition with a stripe on it and had luggage rack on top.
The suspect who grabbed the victim was described as:
- Black male
- Dreads with brown tips, shoulder length hair
- Wearing a black hoodie and New York Yankee’s baseball cap.
The 14 year old female victim has been identified as Kaytlyn Rae Quintana, she is described as follows:
- White female
- 110 pounds
The Duluth Police Department has entered Kaytlyn Rae Quintana as a Missing Person, issued a KOPS alert, provided information to the BCA for an Amber Alert and have contacted the FBI.
