Congrats are in order for UWS, according to a study from U.S. News and World Report Best Online Education Program Rankings for 2015. UW-Superior is ranked 23rd overall for best online bachelor’s programs in the country and the top school within the UW System, region and in the state of Wisconsin.

That may sound like a mouthful, but basically, it's one of the best in the country, and the best in the state. According to a press release from UWS,  UW-Superior Chancellor Renée Wachter said she is very proud of the findings because “It recognizes the high quality of our academic programs and faculty as well as the services we provide to help students be successful.”

Many schools are going the online way so they can lure students to the school without the students leave good paying jobs or moving their families. The online school choice makes it easier to pick a school that fits your budget too. UWS has been offering self-paced learning for about 36 years and went totally online in 1999, in order to be considered the whole course had to be offered online 100%.

According to the press release, 613, or 24 percent, of UW-Superior’s students are seeking online degrees. More than 75 percent of these students are women, and most are between the ages of 25 and 49. Nine out of ten students have some prior college education. More than 85 percent are working; 60 percent are employed full time.

Which supports the findings on why more people are going to school online. by the way, UWS took 23rd overall.  If you would like to see a copy of the report, click here.
