The City of Duluth is re-launching their reLEAF Duluth program which aims to engage citizens in our urban forestry efforts and volunteers are needed.

My aunt who lived in Albuquerque was the first person to introduce me to "meals on wheels".  While I was visiting her as a child I got to accompany her on her weeks delivery.  I remember how proud I was that she had so many friends.  She delivered in their community for years, in fact she was well into her 70's and still delivering.  The opportunity to deliver meals locally is available

Pattison State Park was one of my mom's favorite place for picnics when I was a child.  I loved it because I got to swim!  Eve, a Facebook friend shared that they will be working on changing the infrastructure of Pattison Park and your help would be appreciated, plus you can camp overnight for free because it will be a two day process.  Are you in?

The Dragon Boat festival is coming on Saturday, August 27 and has always been fun for the whole family.  While many are there to watch the rowers, there are other activities that even the youngest family members can enjoy.  Most of these activities usually exist because of local non-profit organizations and their volunteers.  Perhaps you and your family can give some time.

Well it's that time of year again, once the snow melts there is garbage and dirt and things around and the city needs your help to keep the city clean. If you would like to sign up as a family, school friends, for your church, or maybe you are a girl or boy scout looking to help.

Although the city council is the most-visible part of our cities government, the progress of our community also depends largely on volunteers who agree to serve on various boards and commissions.  These forums can wield great influence on our regions way of life.

The City Of Duluth needs your help. Your and your family are invited to come to Family Volunteer Day at the Downtown Public Library to participate in family friendly activities and connect with local organizations to learn how you can volunteer in your community!

A northland volunteer has been recognized for her exceptional and tireless dedication to helping those in need following natural disasters.  The American Red Cross Northern Minnesota Region has named Diane Dunder, from Superior, WI, the 2014 Distinguished Volunteer Leader of the Year.

Duluth has some great trails and areas to bike and walk. June 7th is National Trails Day, and the city is looking for volunteers to help clean and prepare the trails, walkways, and biking areas for public use.

We're already at capacity for our 2nd Annual Dirty Chicks ATV Ride presented by Benna Ford Roush!  Thanks to everyone who registered, we can't wait to get dirty with you!  While it's going to be a fantastic day of hanging with friends and hopefully getting as dirty as possible on the trails in Sturgeon Lake, we're also doing it to raise awareness and donations for WINDOW Victim Services.  Read Mor
