The VMH 5k is now a couple of months away and the Veterans Memorial Hall is reminding you to register now. The money raised will help gather, preserve, interpret and promote the rich and diverse human experiences of veterans, their families, and communities.  There are more than 6,000 veteran stories on the website.

Register early for the VMH 5K Fun Run/Walk sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Hall. The Race takes place Saturday May 20th at the Other Place Bar and Grill. It's open to all ages and there is free parking at the event. All the proceeds go to Veterans’ Memorial Hall, which preserves the history of vets at the Depot.

The 10th Annual Veterans’ Remembrance Dinner will be held December 4th in the Great Hall of the St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center (the Depot.) The  VMH 5K Fun Run, a fundraiser for its Veterans’ Memorial Hall Program has their first price increase.  If you are interested the race begins at 9 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Twig Bakery. You will need to register soon.

Now that the Fitgers 5k has been run, that signals the start of the season. You can start picking your races and putting them on the calendar. This one is a little different, all proceeds benefit Veterans’ Memorial Hall, a program of St. Louis County Historical Society.

The P.I.G.S. helped raise $28,000 to purchase a new van from BENNA Ford/Roush in Superior. They did so by holding their 2nd annual Ride for the Vets. The Van will make over 200 trips each year and transport over 1,000 Veterans from Douglas , Ashland, Bayfield, and St. Louis counties.
