As a particular classic rock song has noted, the kids are alright.

Over 25 years ago - by pure happenstance - I saw country singer Lionel Cartwright in one of the free pavilions at the Minnesota State Fair.  I was already at the fair and happened upon the concerts start just by chance.  The show made my day and I am still glad that I had the opportunity to see him in concert - especially for free!

I found this string of interviews so interesting. Not only am I a huge Van Halen fan, but I love hearing the stories when they first started and when they were hungry and poor. They were regular guys trying to make good music and wanting a record deal.

Country, rock, and oldies will take the spotlight in the grandstand at the 2015 Minnesota State Fair.  Officials announced three of the headliners today.

If you haven't heard the two new tracks click here, they are innovative. Everyone remembers when Aerosmith did "Walk This Way" with Run-DMC. Well, this is on the same level. I wouldn't say I'm a rap fan, but I like these tracks because of the use of Rock guitar.

One need not be a fan of Black Sabbath, "The Prince Of Darkness", or even a "metalhead, to enjoy this book. Maybe all you know about Ozzy is his TV show  The Osbournes . No worries, he'll win you over..Ozzy's a hard guy not to like..
